So this week has been a full one.
Sick kiddos, hubby is on business, and I have a show to get ready for!!
But not this week.
And as I was cleaning house tonight {like really cleaning},
I realized this past year this hobby that turned into a real business~
has really been a blessing in such a huge way and fun.
& I’m so thankful and grateful!!
But has also taken a huge toll on my own home.
A staircase I started, but got too busy with clients to finish…
My dining room has sat untouched for almost 7 months because if I paint it- it might sell!!
You laugh but I couldn’t say no- so I have replaced it all 2 times.
And this time I really like it all!!
The list goes on….
I finally redid my powder bath… that’s it’s own post for sure. Funny and those who have been here are laughing already!!
So this week…
I painted color charts, filled sample pots, and filled a lot of orders. Lots of orders!!
I repainted a chalkboard wall that holds our calendar and such..
It’s now La Craie Mardi Gras and has a fun low area for Miss Mia to “Create!”-
She’s a little Picasso on everything.. maybe this will save the rest of the house.
Then I worked on some “Old World” metal of my own and lightened things up a bit on one wall… {one wall at a time}
Layers of Magnolia, Silver Mink, Hurricane, and Franciscan Grey
The mirror was one of my first Craigslist finds in Seattle.
I absolutely was hooked from there and actually went back and bought a couple of things from her.
The “Y” is from Junk Salvation Show in Austin this past April..
It had a broken center that they taped but I love all things owls, I mean Y’s so I knew I could add some paint and well Jute!!
She has some further plans but little princess woke up from her nap!!
And then yesterday.. I got the wild hair to paint the hutch in my dining room…
It wouldn’t take long after all. A nap time should be more than enough. Not!!
But I love it!! I paint so much for others that I often get tired of my favorite colors.
So, I chose neutral. It’s done in La Craie Silver Mink and Magnolia and finished off with Dark and Clear Wax…
Just a peek…
I also got down all the Halloween decorations and dressed up the entry, mantel, lights above the island..
But I needed something more and did a fun easy craft of making a rag & jute garland.
Easy to do while the little girl watched her show and didn’t move – poor thing.
Tomorrow, I will start to reveal each project in it’s full glory.
So be sure to stop back in!!
