I love being able to take an old outdated 80’s dresser
that is absolutely what you still need into something you can still love!!
This was a Pennsylvania House Set in wonderful condition.
You know the kind that had that wonderful shiny brass handles…
She found a dresser that she fell in love with the look just not the price… it was essentially the same style dresser.
The handles were painted and they blended in. Asked if I could do the same but in a creamy color to match a bedding set for her guest bedroom.
So that we did in Maison Blanche La Craie Paint– in Vanille.
Painted the hardware by hand and gave a coat of spray on poly to protect the finish.
The dresser has light and beautiful distressing. Highlighting the pretty details of the piece.
She loved it. And what a difference it made for sure on the set.
Because I forgot to take before and after’s
I found this picture online that gives you an idea of before….
Thanks for stopping in…
Lots more painting going on this week.
Be sure to stop back in!!

This looks wonderful. The distressing is amazing.
Beautiful piece, what product do you use to give the hardware ” a coat of spray on poly” to protect it?
On these particular handles I chalk painted them, used the wax and then let completely dry before using Minwax Spray Polyacrylic. I hope that helps. It comes in a semi-glosss and satin. I find that the semi-gloss isn’t all that glossy if not used in several coats. Thanks you for leaving a comment!! ~ Lori
