It’s almost comical when I say that I have given my craft room a makeover. It’s really become more of an office and it totally is a whole new look!! I have had the wonderful privilege to have several craft rooms over the years and I am forever tweaking and moving it!! Seriously- this house alone I have had it in 4 different spots in just 3 years. It is a huge undertaking moving it every time and I think it must be like child birth!! You just forget the pain it is!! I always think it will take just a minute but it takes forever!!
Well this time, it happened because we thought we were moving… long story. But the outcome is we are not moving and I had to have a room all to myself that I could have everything in!! I needed to get major organized with my business end of things and I just couldn’t do it scattered around the whole house in different rooms!! So lots of hard work and a couple of days and here it is!! And all the pieces I would sell for less are mine!! I LOVE this space!!
This is my main desk area… It’s painted in Magnolia and Sugar Cane drawers all light brown waxed. Chair is in sugar cane also with magnolia accents… Cute little apron {made by Okie Chic} is tied around to give the back of the chair a cute little skirt.
I did hang the bed springs that I got at Vintage Market Days finally. I love using it to hang family pictures and cute little embellished prints I found on Etsy. I am going to get lights and hang in them…
I chose to use my open china hutch in here also… this wall that turns was just perfect for it!!
Then I know you’ll recognize this little sweet dresser… I told you I would find a spot for it!! I did!! There is a reason I don’t come down on some things…
It is completely full of paper- bless it’s heart… it’s heavy!! I have too much paper… said no one ever!!
And my sweet little cow head is from my friend Pam of From My Front Porch to Yours she has a wonderful shop called Finch & Company DesignsBut right now I am trying to decide if I want to paint her… I was thinking of giving her a warm creamy wash.. The frame is from IKEA a whopping $24.99 and a coat of sugar cane and pearl gold organza!! LOVE LOVE!!
And no room of mine would ever not have an owl- just whoo I am!!
Then just inside the door to the left is my sewing and Cricut station. {once I locate the box my Cricut is in… heehee}. Drawers are full of threads, needles, fabrics, and scissors. I love finally not having to take and put away my sewing machine!! And my ribbons on curtain rods… That is one thing that will never change!! I love seeing it!! And it’s easy to use!!
I know you may be wondering why I would cover the windows with large cabinets… Well, this room gets all the afternoon sun – Texas HOT sun!! I get plenty of natural light even with them there!! So, it cools my room down which is much needed for me!! They provide amazing storage so where I thought about not keeping them- I just can’t let them go!!
Lot’s of ribbons in this room… I may have an addiction to ribbon. Well then add on paper, glitter… I better stop!!
Lots of stamps!!
Where I create!! My mother just gave this desk to me… I am deciding on what to paint it- I may just do the drawers. The finish is still very nice!! This apron is made by Barbara of Shabby Cowgirl. Lots of idea books, magazines, and inks!!
And more supplies and my handy little cart from IKEA waiting to be filled up with crafting supplies!!
So what do you think?? You like? I sure do and I am glad it’s almost done!! Thanks for stopping by!! I gotta go paint!!
Looks great Lori! I am in love with the hutch and the dresser! I agree with painting the cow!
Thank you thank you Shanna!! I just needed someone else to tell me it was okay!!

My dream is to have my craft room finished by summer, but I will probably miss that deadline! Obviously you are super fast. Your room turned out so pretty and practical. Love the way you have different stations for office, sewing, crafts, etc.
I’m sure it’s great to have all your supplies in one room. It looks like a fun place to work. Great storage pieces!
