This furniture has lots of history. Oh to step back in time and watch the life it got to live. Today I am sharing an ASCP Florence Furniture Set Makeover.
We decided on a color combination that I absolutely adore for sweet little girls room… ASCP Florence and Arles with some Vintage Linen from DIY Paint line. We wanted to possibly add a touch of pink if it didn’t make it to busy… So you’ll see it unfold before you…
I started with the tall dresser. Annie Sloan’s Florence is one of my all time favorite turquoise colors. It has that gorgeous combination of blue and green… You’ll just love it. I think everyone home should have something in this color… it makes you HAPPY!!
When distressing this piece she really wanted a natural look but also a heavy I have been around and I am not new look!! That’s great by me!! I used my usual distressing techniques along with with some shadowing effects with Fiddes Wax in Jacobean- it’s a dark thick wax just perfect for this look.
This also means I didn’t sand away all the imperfections before I started painting.. that would be taking away all the gorgeous character and life this piece has to offer!!
I know that you could see in the first that it’s just a simple tall turquoise dresser until the last couple of pictures where the element of whimsical charm grabs your attention.
Cutting Edge Stencil’s again with their wonderful Harlequin pattern!!
Lots of distressing on the sides with variation in texture and colors made this piece perfect!!
I decided to add the pink only to the apron of the vanity… it was cute enough but too much would be, well, too much!!
She opted for no pink. Accessorize in pink!! Perfect!!
Love how the harlequin just peeks out in the knee-hole area. The sides are just the pretty ASCP Florence.
I painted out the mirror in ASCP Arles but forgot to get a picture of that in all the chaos of packing for our move!!
Thank you for letting me share this with you today.
I am finally all unpacked- well almost. Walls are all repainted and now the fun projects can begin… It took a lot to make all of this come together and feel like home… But we are finally HOME!!
Have a great day and come back soon!! ~Lori
