This beautiful solid wood Dixie French Provincial Dresser has had a gorgeous makeover… Sometimes my pieces have to sit a while. And this one finally spoke to me. All the details what would I do?
American Paint Company truly makes a wonderful paint. I have been so impressed with the coverage and the consistency. I love using it. It is a bit creamier straight from the can, but I just pour it in my little bowl add a touch of water and it’s perfect!! That my friends means you are getting the most product for your money!! Adding water to thin it a bit means there’s still a lot left in that quart!! And that’s making me a happy girl. But I digress… I used Surfboard. I could just stop with that, but I decided to add Home Plate in also for a small accent color. I also used Modern Masters Warm Silver. And dark wax to pull out the green undertones. You may have noticed a time or two that this color is one of my favorites. And it’s the perfect aqua if you just use a straight clear wax or top coat. Love Love!!
Enjoy!!
Sides of drawers I used a metallic wrapping paper and mod -podged the drawers. Little fun touch when you open…
I finally brought in my color display to the shop Kiss & Make-up Boutique in McKinney… go visit and get your paint!! And this little gem is there too- For Sale!!
Lori, the dresser is gorgeous! I do love that Surfboard color- I think it would be perfect for so many different projects! The sides of the drawers add the perfect little pop to this dresser- loving them, and the whole thing. I’ll have to check out the shop next time I’m in McKinney! 🙂
Love the color. So interested in apc I have been using ascp but would prefer a American paint . If it preforms as well
Absolutely beautiful finish & details, Lori! I will have to try American Paint Co. products. That is fantastic that they are zero VOC, etc. I work in McKinney, so I will have to check out your display one of these days…
I absolutely love it Lori. The paper on the drawers is over the top cool! That is a lot of work girl.
Oh MY GOSH! The little peek-a-boo animal print is totally awesome Lori! As always — YOU ROCK! xoxo
I love the way you did the sides of the drawers when you pull them out. What a nice surprise – great work from Linda @ Hello I Live Here
Oh my stars! Yessss! Warm Silver is AWESOME…perfect with Surfboard! <3<3<3
Lori, it looks like you used silver paint with the plymouth rock on the other project. I have never used this paint always used anne sloane. Iwould like to try this paint, but i do not see the silver color? pls response. thanks
where can we purchase the paint? we are located in louisiana. thanks
Hi Dee,
I do not sell the silver Modern Masters Metallic paint- you can purchase that online on Amazon. I use Oyster and Warm Silver a lot.
But you are absolutely welcome to purchase the American Paint colors from me here- https://vintagecharmrestored.com/welcome-to-the-vintage-charm-restored-store
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you. Lori
{I sent this by email as well.}

This is just gorgeous. GORGEOUS!! I love the details, especially the Zebra striped drawers! Thank you so much for sharing at Redouxinteriors Lori!
This piece is just as beautiful as the pink piece and the zebra stripes are perfect.
I love your re-do–the zebra paper was a great touch!
