Halloween Mantel 2013

I keep seeing such beautiful Fall Mantel posts everywhere here in Blogland… But I am one of those girls that just loves everything spooky and fun about Halloween!! So around here we decorate early and have fun with it!! Last year I had over committed myself and wasn’t able to really do it up but this year I have a head start!! And it’s not just me who loves it, all can be credited to my husband as well!! I think we’d have a haunted yard if I’d let him!! And seeing that Miss Mia doesn’t scare easily and loves to scare others… it might happen one of these days.

So here’s my mantel… You can see last years mantel here… it’s very different!!

Halloween-2013

I absolutely love reusing things from year to year and adding in a few new things.  We got the cute little bouncing pumpkin this year from Sam’s.  The owl pillow, tissue poofs, and a premade banner that helped craft the banner from Target.  I got the wonderful green witch & birds from Stein Mart & the lantern from Home Good’s when I couldn’t find drapes…

The banner… oh how I love to make banners… they can be a lot of work though… So today I worked smarter.  Sure I could have broke out the Silhouette or the Cricut and done the letters but I bought them in a premade kit for $4 at Target.  The fun chevron burlap came in a roll from Hobby Lobby when on sale last year I snatched up several for $5 ea.  {I didn’t use a whole roll for this.} the banner pennants I bought premade at Hobby Lobby and used paper I got at Tuesday Morning… the rag garland I made last year and it has some fun glittered spiders attached too!! Fast Fun and I love it!!
