I was thrilled to get ready and go to the conference.
So not going to lie though, I was totally nervous!!
The idea of actually meeting these people I have followed through blogs
was both exciting and so scary… not sure that is the right emotion
but it’s what I typed so okay.
I made a cute name tag and business card thingies with chocolate to win my way into hearts…
who doesn’t love a piece of chocolate I mean??
And Annie tried to get a total stranger to take our picture
when we were waiting for the hotel shuttle –
because I had too many Vera Bradley bags with me.
Yes, I needed a big rolling bag rather than the cute bags.. But alas I didn’t.
And I cropped the bags at our feet!!
We were so tired… Early flight no sleep!!
I totally had to step out of my box and go meet people…
Here’s a great collage of photos from Leo of Cottage at the Crossroads.
{Go check out their blog for a wonderful picture recap of the conference.}
Wonderful women at the cocktail hour that Friday night!!
Yes that’s me in the top right pic!! Smiling and having fun!!
But I had one picture I wanted to get on this trip!!
I absolutely adore KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms
and I was a mission!!
So my new sweet fellow La Craie friend here…
Nadine of The Spotted Leopard
Helped me go be what felt like a teenager at a concert-
or a stalker…
and get this picture!!
It’s me and KariAnne of ThistleWood Farms!!!
She was such a doll and I had no idea she
is from McKinney!! It was so fun talking with her!!
I love her photography and style of writing.
And so want her farmhouse in the middle of nowhere!!
Definitely a highlight moment!!
The ladies really outdid themselves with this conference!!
There were amazing speakers- so sad I didn’t get more pictures!!
I did meet and talk with so many awesome bloggers and lovely women!!
Next time I will actually use my camera and take more pictures!!
Silly me!!
But the most important thing I think I walked away beyond all the notes and great speakers.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!! Thank you for stopping in!! ~ Lori
