The Painted French style Dining Table
This is one of the most popular finishes I get requested to do and I love it!! I have it in my own home and I never tire of it!!
I’m so sad that I didn’t get a great before shot- really any before shot of this table that I did for a previous client’s sister in law. I love referrals.
But I wanted to show you more pictures of the set… It was all done with wet distressing that I spoke of here.. I used a full deal of wipes before it was all done!! But I love the look it gave. It was so perfect for the painted French style dining table here.
But here are some pictures of along the way and the different looks as the layers went on…
We didn’t add on the wash until the end when the fabric had been chosen and we wanted to make sure it wasn’t too monochromatic…
I was nervous until the very end when that fabric arrived.

Here is the picture of the fabric I pulled up on my computer… Beautiful from Ballard Designs. I couldn’t tell what shade of gray it was.
I just knew that the 4th layer of paint on this set was going to be a wonderful thin wash of Silver Mink!! And it so did the trick!!
This set was one of those awesome CL finds that my client picked up!! It was so solid!! And great to work with!!
This is so gorgeous!!!
Oh thank you Stephanie!!
