Well over the holiday season I decided to take my passion to a new level. I came up with a facebook page, logo, etsy site (still needing work of course), but I have been busy!! I have been selling all the pieces I find and redo and I even have a couple of custom orders I have been working on for clients!! I am thrilled beyond belief…
With that comes lots of time spent working on pieces that are hard to give up but also the reward of knowing someone else loves it as much as I do. I also have been working on Miss Mia’s room and trying to update a little from baby to big girl..as big as you can be at 2!!
Here are some things I have been creating!! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy and if you do don’t be shy leave a comment!!
A fun little turquoise (ASCP in Provence) side table or nightstand with working drawer… *FOR SALE*
French Dresser Set in ASCP Old Ochre…. *FOR SALE*
Before:
After: (Still have the long dresser to redo and plan on doing it in a Provence color and sell separately- will make a great buffet or entry piece!!)
Then there is the beast of a trunk I redid for a client… I had sold her this desk and she asked for the trunk to be redone to match… I loved that desk!! The chair was recovered by a beautiful damask print but I didn’t get the picture…
And the trunk…
I have learned a few things from this trunk-
First, Never give an estimate or quote without asking if it is painted!! There were over 5 coats of latex and drip marks everywhere. Meant hours of sanding and getting nowhere fast!!
Secondly, don’t assume it’s your grandmothers little cedar chest- because it wasn’t!!
Before shots were really during shots… I forgot to snap the before!!
I also have this beautiful little end table/ nightstand that is so French and so chic!! Redid her in ASCP Versailles and Old Ochre accents. She is For Sale also but she is one of Mia’s favorite little pieces to play with. She just sits there opening the door as though something unexpected will be in there each time she opens it… surprisingly she hasn’t hid anything in it yet!! I did replace the hardware as the original was missing. And the wire is in perfect condition on the doors!! It is just so perfect!!
