I love it when I get the whole story behind the pieces I paint. Mom’s bed, that was passed down to her through her family, came to me needing love. The mom has 3 boys and the oldest was going away to college shortly. I was redoing her bed she had when she was a child for her oldest son. The beautiful antique white finish {a painted piece already…} was chipping and flaking and I was going to make it a masculine beauty!! I was excited. I never get to do masculine finishes!! So I was excited to do distressed grey painted furniture for a young man!!
Here is the inspiration… Distressed Grey Painted Furniture From One King’s Lane. Kenton Nightstand in Distressed Ash Gray.
I’ll let you see the pieces, I loved how they turned out and so did she!!
It was a good night to deliver and bring a mama who just left her son away at college a bright smile!!
I think you will just love the layers of color that created this fabulous distressed gray finish.
so you tell me, isn’t it just beautiful???
so pretty! you are so talented!
Here’s to making the old, new again – and even better than the inspiration piece!!!
